Between COVID and the Marshall Fire, this has been a rough 4 years for our community. Many of us are stronger for it and closer. But many of us are left feeling disconnected and divided. Redtail Ridge and building code battles and a recall have left many of us feeling at odds with our neighbors. There is SO much more that unites us than divides us, but it's not uncommon to hyperfocus on the differences. We can't just hope to rebuild our community as we rebuild our town. We have to be intentional about bringing our neighbors back to our community, not just back to their lots.
I promise to work with the City to enhance some of our current events and add some new ones that will help bring people together to celebrate our shared existence.
Affordable Housing means welcoming new and diverse people into our lives. If we open up our hearts and our spaces to people of all walks of life, we build a much more vibrant and interesting community.
